Missions at CrossBridge Community Church

We actively seek opportunities to share the love of Christ with those in need. Supporting local missions groups isn't just a responsibility of the church, it's a priviledge. At CrossBridge, we support various missions initiatives here in our community and abroad. Below is a list of some of the missions programs we've been able to partner with through prayer and financial support. Please take a moment to learn more about each one.

We have also been given the opportunity to help local families in need through the Penfield Food Shelf and the Perinton Lay Clergy. Through these ministries we have been able to share the love of Jesus with folks in our community and we are thankful to know that those receiving this service have been blessed. Here are two Thank You cards we've recently received from individuals whose lives we've been able to touch. May they inspire you to keep on serving in Jesus' name.

As a Christ-centered, non-denominational, charitable organization, the Open Door Mission seeks to meet the spiritual, social and physical needs of men, women, and children who are in crisis and homeless. The programs of the Mission provide basic needs like: food, clothing, shelter, education, rehabilitation, and emergency services. However, the primary mission is to provide support that ultimately leads to helping hurting people back to a life that is productive, independent, and faith filled.

  Rochester Family Mission

For over 77 years, Rochester Family Mission has been serving the needs of urban families in the inner city of Rochester. Our Vision: to share the good news of Jesus Christ while we care for men, women and children by reaching out in Christian love to meet spiritual and practical material needs. RFM has been called to serve and to strengthen the family by meeting their spiritual and material needs such as food for families and clothing for children within the city of Rochester.

The Mission provides a spiritually supportive program of counseling, instruction, and encouragement. We present Christian standards for conduct and lifestyle to young people through a year-round program of youth ministries and contact with adult role models.

RFM offers a comprehensive program of adult Christian education for pastors and laypersons through RICE , the Rochester Institute of Christian Education.

  Ontario Bible Conference & Camp

OBC is a Christ-centered organization that provides a camping and retreat facility for families and individuals of all ages. The month of July is dedicated for kids to come and have fun while learning about Jesus. They share the salvation message with those who haven't yet received it and encourage those who have already received God's gift of salvation to prepare for some new adventures that are sure to come while walking walking with Him.

The camp offers a great canoeing program and Christian bookstore and encourages its campers to keep in touch during the year through their Facebook page. OBC looks for individuals to partner with their ministry as they live out their motto by "Praching and Teaching the Word of God."

Henoc Lucien with Vision of Hope

Henoc is a Haitian pastor involved in church planting in his country, undoubtedly the poorest in the western hemisphere. The culture is deeply engrossed in Voodoo and only about a third know how to read or write.

Vision of Hope Ministries's long term goals include a sanctuary, school, medical clinic, counseling center and a micro-enterprise project. “The hope of Pastor Henoc and VOHM is that more churches will be planted, thousands of Haitians will come to know Jesus and the transformed life that follows.”

Vision of Hope Ministries publishes an e-mail update to fill you in on the latest events in Haiti so that you may pray more effectively for Henoc Lucien and the work of God through VOHM. E-mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Flower City Work Camp

Flower City Work Camp is a ministry of Rochester-area churches that began in 1985 when a group of local youth leaders had a desire to see their students serve in a meaningful inner-City ministry and a desire to impact the City of Rochester with the life-changing message of Christ’s love.

Using Group’s Student Work Camps as a model, those youth leaders developed a Rochester-based ministry that reaches the City with God’s love in very practical ways: home repairs, Backyard Bible Clubs and Basketball Camp.

Not only does Work Camp provide Jr. High and Sr. High students with a tremendous opportunity to serve God, a lot of effort and planning is also put into challenging the students to grow in their faith. Morning devotions and evening programs filled with worship, prayer, testimonies and teaching are designed to bring students into the presence of God and send them home energized, changed and strengthened. CrossBridge teens are blessed by their experiences at Flower City Work Camp.

If you have any questions about Flower City Work Camp, you can visit their website to contact them.

Hope Force International

Hope Force International is a Christian non-profit organization comprised of individuals dedicated to using their expertise to inspire, equip and mobilize thousands of volunteers into areas of crisis around the world. HFI trains volunteers in advance so they are prepared and allowed to respond, often in restricted areas, when disaster strikes.

Not all will be doctors, nurses, or even first responders such as firemen and paramedics, but everyone is needed. HFI emphasizes “the ministry of presence”—walking sensitively and appropriately alongside those affected by crisis or disaster.

HFI's mission is to alleviate suffering caused by disasters and chronic human need through stimulating the global Christian community into compassionate action.

More information about HFI and their ministry can be obtained by e-mailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
