As a Christ-centered, non-denominational, charitable organization, the Open Door Mission seeks to meet the spiritual, social and physical needs of men, women, and children who are in crisis and homeless. The programs of the Mission provide basic needs like: food, clothing, shelter, education, rehabilitation, and emergency services. However, the primary mission is to provide support that ultimately leads to helping hurting people back to a life that is productive, independent, and faith filled.

  Rochester Family Mission

For over 77 years, Rochester Family Mission has been serving the needs of urban families in the inner city of Rochester. Our Vision: to share the good news of Jesus Christ while we care for men, women and children by reaching out in Christian love to meet spiritual and practical material needs. RFM has been called to serve and to strengthen the family by meeting their spiritual and material needs such as food for families and clothing for children within the city of Rochester.

The Mission provides a spiritually supportive program of counseling, instruction, and encouragement. We present Christian standards for conduct and lifestyle to young people through a year-round program of youth ministries and contact with adult role models.

RFM offers a comprehensive program of adult Christian education for pastors and laypersons through RICE , the Rochester Institute of Christian Education.

Darren and Heather Stevenson family with PUSH Physical Theatre

Darren and Heather Stevenson build bridges between the church and the secular arts community. As professional performers for many years they have found that the arts community and the church are typically somewhat suspicious of each other. Darren and Heather believe in fighting the enemy’s war on his turf by working with secular organizations such as YARD (youth at risk dancing) a minority, youth at risk dance company. "They can minister to artists who may have given up on God and open doors to help local churches love this culture in the same way that God does.”

  Mercy Ships

Mercy Ships, a global charity that has operated hospital ships in developing nations since 1978, is the leader in using ships to deliver free world-class health care and community development services to the world's forgotten poor. Mercy Ships programs promote health and well-being by serving the urgent surgical needs of the poor and empowering developing communities. Mercy Ships has chosen to follow the 2,000 year-old model of Jesus: the blind see, the lame walk, the mute speak, and the Good News (the nature and character of a loving God) is proclaimed and demonstrated among the poor. Mercy Ships brings hope and healing to the forgotten poor by mobilizing people and resources worldwide, and serving all people without regard for race, gender, or religion. www.mercyships.org
