You are here:  About UsWhat We Believe

Our Beliefs
CrossBridge is a community of people who come from different religious backgrounds and experiences. We focus on the major beliefs of the Christian faith and not on the minor differences that often separate people of true faith. We believe:
  • the Bible is the final authority in all matters pertaining to Christian faith and practice
  • there is only one living and true God, perfect, infinite, eternal
  • man was created by God but has alienated himself from God and is in need of reconciliation
  • God became man in the person of Jesus Christ and that Jesus Christ is both completely divine as well as completely human. He died on the cross, was buried, and raised back to life by the power of God, according to Scriptures
  • the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and that he empowers us for life and service
  • through the gift of Jesus' death on the cross every wrong can be forgiven and we can be reconciled to God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ
  • the Church is the company of all true believers everywhere on earth but meets locally to accomplish God's purpose for the community
  • Christ will return at God's perfectly appointed time to take all those with faith in Christ to be with Him forever.
